Hi everyone and happy fall!

Thinking about the theme of this issue of the magazine, New Rhythms, I am realizing that this could be the theme of my life right now. This summer my family packed up and moved to the East Coast. For me this was a return home but it’s also all brand new because it has been a while since I have lived here. We are all adjusting to the new rhythms in our lives here: new home, new jobs, back to work in person, back to school in person, and quite the change in rhythm of life from the busyness of Toronto.

Across the country and the world I know we are all adjusting, adapting and creating new rhythms in our lives and in our work in this ongoing pandemic. Things sure have changed, and while some things will go back to our old normal, some things will be changed forever.

As we move forward I want to express gratitude to Patricia Ki on behalf of the board of the Canadian Art Therapy Association for all of her work on Envisage to bring it to what it is today. We also welcome Sarah Gysin as she takes on the role of editor for the magazine. Thank you to both of you!

The Canadian Art Therapy Association virtual conference is coming up in November.. I can’t wait to attend to learn from and connect with art therapists from across Canada and around the world. Hope to see you there! Take good care!
