CATA-ACAT 2020 Virtual Conference: Sustaining and Expanding Creative Practices in Unprecedented Times
Participants at the 2020 Virtual Conference shared their artwork in response to this invitation:
How can we find ways to cultivate and sustain our workspace or our homes as sacred or soul-nourishing spaces? What are the hidden surprises that these spaces hold? What can we expand on as a supportive metaphor for life in these times?
Also included in the gallery are images featured in the 2020 conference posters, generously contributed by art therapy practitioners and student across the country.
We thank Karen Stevenson (Edmonton, AB) for facilitating this collective art gallery, as well as composing a short video that was played at the conference’s closing.

Last Days with Mom
Breath is our first sign of life - It is threatened with COVID. It is core to our being - through our exhaled breath a flute can be played. I played Mom's favorite classical music for her in hospital as her breath laboured in her final days. It gave her comfort and release... until the final exhale.
